Freddie wants $8 billion bailout
Freddie Mac is a government sponsored enterprise(GSE) which was taken over by the government in September 2008 and put into a "conservatorship" by the U.S. treasury in order to "ensure the financial soundness of the GSE". Well, apparently the treasury and its newly acquired GSE are having trouble turning profits in their new endeavors. Freddie Mac is asking for $10.6 billion in additional federal aid after posting a big loss in the first three months of the year. This is just another sign that these cronies will continue using the taxpayer bill in order to socialize their losses.
